Potassium and calcium content of carcinomas and papillomas of the colon.

In the previous communication results were reported to show that the K / C a ratio in carcinoma of the stomach was increased relative to that in the adjacent mucosa and relative to the mucosa of noncancerous stomachs. This increase was the result of elevated potassium and decreased calcium in the neoplasms. summarized in Table I. The average water content of mucosa and carcinoma was approximately the same.
